She loves that she has created her own career where she has the stability of a corporate job along with the creative freedom of her side hustle.

Today’s minisode I’m taking you behind the scenes as to how the Day in the Life podcast is created!

I figured since this week’s guest interview was with my lovely, amazing podcast editor that I would share what it’s really like to be running a podcast. It’s a LOT of hard work, that’s for sure!

Caroline Creates Podcasts was started after I started my own podcast with my cohost called Creative Biz Rebellion. I fell in LOVE with the backend of the podcasting process. One day my cohost told someone about the work I was doing with my podcast, and they hired me! The rest is history. Now Caroline Creates helps over 15 different podcasts each week. My mission is to to help at-home podcasters have a great sounding podcast and find their voice. To be encouraging, take time for what matters most, be willing to learn and adapt, give to others, and create an amazing customer experience.

Designer and Owner, Caroline Hull has a background in music and was a ballet dancer at the University of Oklahoma before finding her niché in design and podcasting. Originally from Texas, Caroline now resides in Colorado Springs, CO with her husband Chris and daughters. I feel like in today’s society, it’s pushed on us to figure out our “life’s purpose” otherwise we’re not living up to our potential. The fact is, sometimes you’re going through a time in your life when it’s hard to know what your exact “purpose” is and that’s totally okay!

I’ll admit, for a LONG time I shied away from being persistent throughout my life. It felt overwhelming and discouraging when I didn’t get something I worked so hard for so what’s the point in being persistent?

That is the wrong attitude to go about being persistent though.

Being persistent helps you accomplish your big dreamy life goals that seem impossible. Being persistent builds character, helps you become a better person and establishes consistency in your life which are all amazing things!

Megan graduated from East Carolina University with her undergraduate degree in Hospitality and Restaurant Management and her MBA. Upon graduation, this North Carolinian relocated to DC with Marriott International completing their Management Development Program.

Starting at the front desk and moving into the events side, Megan truly understands the logistics, flow, and behind the scenes effort, it takes to make a successful event. Transitioning back to NC in 2006, she moved into event positions including Event Operations Manager, Event Manager, and Sales and Catering Manager on a new property opening team.

In 2010, Megan left the hotel world and took over ownership of an existing wedding planning company in need of re-branding to remain relevant within the industry. Over the last 8 years, Megan has grown A Southern Soiree into a multi-planner firm and established it as one of the most sought-after, highly regarded event planning companies in NC.
